Why investors should consider buying the energy dip: Analyst

Commodities have been experiencing a modest rally, so what does this mean for investor portfolios? BTIG Managing Director and Chief industry Technician Jonathan Krinsky joins Catalysts to share his outlook on the markets.
Krinsky notes that development has been “broad-based across the commodity complex.” He points to metals such as Gold (GC=F), Silver (SI=F), and Copper (HG=F), all of which have been performing well, attributing this trend to “the China comeback story.” In light of this, Krinsky advises investors to consider energy equities as a potential funding opportunity.
While acknowledging that the energy sector is currently in a downtrend (XLE), Krinsky recommends a strategic approach for investors: “Do a little buying here and maybe add a little bit as it shows you strength on the move through that downtrend.” This incremental approach allows investors to capitalize on the potential upside while managing hazard effectively.
