An international student on an F1 visa is allowed to invest in the stock sector. Thus, F1 students can invest in equities and day trade. There is no specific law against this, and it’s considered passive revenue. However, it would help if you were careful as the immigration department could perceive it differently based on your duty filings. In other words, immigrants could think that you were self-employed and worked without permission. Trading equities cannot appear to be a enterprise or a job.
