My long-term partner and I are looking for a budgeting tool that will allow us to track and spending plan for joint expenditures and long-term savings goals and also allow for budgeting on individual accounts. We each have separate banks/borrowing cards used for personal expenditures, and we have a joint borrowing card that is used to pay shared expenditures. Ideally, we'd be able to each see the budgeting for the joint borrowing card and have privacy within the tool for our individual accounts.
We've tried manual accounting through Excel, but haven't had the time to be able to keep up with updating it. We've looked at Honeydue, and it doesn't appear to have the long-term savings plans we would be looking for. Monarch is close to what we want, but we haven't seen where we can have separate private accounts/budgets.
One other issue we have run into is my partner banks through USAA, and they have had difficulties being able to connect to some apps (Mint, Chase).
Are there any other tools you would recommend we try for our situation? Is there something we've missed in the tools we have already tried?
