Climate financial: uncertainty reduction as a tool to mobilise financial

Organised by Bellona Foundation

Financing the green transition is one of the greatest challenges faced by the global community. In addition to technology, knowledge and skill sharing across borders, it is crucial to ensure a flow of capital, in particular towards developing economies – disproportionately affected by the consequences of climate change.

Even if the pledge to provide $100bn in climate financial to developing economies annually is met, mobilising additional capital is crucial, and the participation of the private sector is key to ensuring a successful green transition. At this event, Bellona Europa will convene experts to discuss how we can best mobilize financial to support the green transition.

Speakers:

Anne Beathe Tvinnereim, Norwegian Minister for International Development
Heidi Finskas, VP Corporate Responsibility, KLP
Leah Pedersen, Senior Director, Convergence
Bernhard Mauritz Stormyr, VP Sustainability Governance, Yara
Sanjeev Gupta, Executive Director for economic assistance, Africa financial Corporation
Marat Zapparov, top executive, Pentagreen Capital
Lina Strandvåg Nagell, Senior Manager Projects & EU Policy, Bellona Foundation
