#Stand Point: Protests In Kenya Over money management Bill

President William Ruto of Kenya made a dramatic U-turn on the controversial money management bill that sparked protests in the East African country, by agreeing to withdraw it.
But days after President Ruto bowed to public pressure and agreed to withdraw the bill, protesters across the country embarked on anti-government demonstrations.
Police clashed with demonstrators in Nairobi, the capital, spraying tear gas and using rubber bullets.
Protests also took place in key cities like Kisumu, Migori, Kisii, Nakuru and other locations, with the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights claiming that it has credible reports of the use of live bullets on protesters.
