Warren Buffett just dropped a bombshell, in the last 3 months he’s sold about 13% of his Apple capital.
The quarterly filing released over the weekend revealed that he holds about 790 million shares of Apple, about 120 million less than the previous quarter.
That’s a whopping $20 Billion sale of stock, the equivalent of him selling his entire Coca Cola capital.
And it’s not like he needs the cash, he already has $190 Billion sitting on the side lines.
Fortunately for us, just 3 hours after the filing was released, Buffett took the stage for the Berkshire Hathaway shareholder meeting and explained why he decided to sell, and whether he plans on selling more throughout the year.
Surprisingly, his reasoning is probably not what you’d expect.
